West End Slowdown is back for 2015
Little Heroes Foundation’s West End Slowdown will return this year to its spiritual home Adelaide Oval for the first time since 2011.
Lining up this year for the Crows “Old boys” will be legends like Tony Modra, Tyson Edwards, Premiership skipper Mark Bickley and for the first time, the great Ben Rutten.
Cross-town rivals Port Adelaide will be coached by Port Power Chairman, David Koch and we welcome back champion players like Matthew Primus, Josh Carr, Brendon Lade, Peter Burgoyne and Dominic Cassisi.
As always, a host of sporting personalities and celebrities will join in the fun.
Abbey Holmes is back in Crows colours after her stunning performance last year while Aussie tennis greats Darren Cahill and Roger Rasheed will be suiting up for their beloved PAFC.
Also making their Slowdown debut this year will be the ‘Wild thing” former Aussie Cricketer Shaun Tait and Sunrise sports presenter Mark Berreta.
More names, including some shock appointments as coaches are still to come.
There will be plenty of free entertainment for families, including Mark Stefanoff (The Voice) performing the National Anthem and the opportunity to have a Kick N Catch on the Oval at half time.
It’s a great day for the whole family.
Proceeds will support Little Heroes Foundation’s $2 Million Centre for Robotics and Innovation, set to open in early 2016 at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Location: Adelaide Oval
Date: Monday October 5
Time: Gates open 11:00am
Little Heroes Foundation will also be holding a competition for 2 lucky winners to play in this year’s West End Slowdown. For just $5 per entry (and you can enter as many times as you’d like!) you could be fulfilling a childhood dream, lining up with SA’s football legends!
