Tony Modra joins LHF as Corporate Relations Manager
Little Heroes Foundation is excited to announce the appointment of Tony Modra as its new Corporate Relations Manager.
A household name thanks to his heroics for the Adelaide Football Club in the 90’s, Tony joins the Foundation in a role previously filled by Port Adelaide legend Tim Ginever and most recently, Australian Netball champion Natalie Bode.
Tony has maintained a strong relationship with the Foundation over the years, appearing in the annual West End Slowdown almost every year since 2001 (pictured above playing in the 2016 match), as well as trekking the Kokoda Trail with the Little Heroes team in 2007.
Little Heroes Foundation Chairman Chris McDermott is excited by Tony’s passion and can’t wait for him to officially join the Foundation.
“Tony’s been one of our longest supporters and when the opportunity arose for him to join the ranks, I jumped on it!” Chris says.
“His passion for all things community here in SA will be invaluable for many of our upcoming events including a yet to be launched PGA Golf Tournament and the second season Australian Champions League in March, 2017.”
“We’re thrilled to have Tony on board and excited about what we can do for the Foundation and the children and families we support.”
Having worked as a cattle farmer on the Fleurieu Peninsula since 2003, Tony is excited to get even more involved with the Foundation and its corporate partners.
Tony will also assume a similar role with the Fleurieu Milk Company, who have supported Little Heroes Foundation since February 2013 by donating part proceeds from their sales.
“Little Heroes is a perfect fit for me, as I love the work they do for sick kids in need, so to contribute to that is really rewarding!” Tony says.
Raising money for kids is what it’s all about and if I can help do that, then I’m all for it!”
