Mother’s Day Luncheon returns to National Wine Centre
Little Heroes Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every guest, corporate partner, and supporter for their efforts on Friday May 12th at our annual Mother’s Day Luncheon.
Thanks to you, we had a very fun and successful day celebrating our biggest heroes; our mums! Plus we raised some much-needed funds to continue providing ongoing support to families doing it tough via our Little Heroes Care program.
Once again, the National Wine Centre looked absolutely stunning, with special thanks to the Wine Centre staff, the team at AV Plus, Wonderland and Bright Square Studios for providing all the finishing touches to the event set up.
The day, hosted by Today Tonight’s Rosanna Mangiarelli, kicked off with a gorgeous fashion parade directed by our good friend Markus Hamence, with hair styling supplied by Davroe Hair Wellness. The parade featured designs by Showies Boutique and Peter Shearer Menswear (modelled by our favourite Firies, of course!)
Our $20 Glam Bags were a huge hit with our guests, selling out before the main course was served! Thank you to the incredibly generous businesses that donated products/promotions for our guests to enjoy, including Davroe Hair Wellness, Simone Perele, Sukin, Cocoon Spa and Wellness, The Ark Clothing Co, Twinings, and much more!
After weeks of fundraising, Davroe’s National Sales Manager Andrew shaved his beard and head on stage! Well done Andrew and team, for all of your support! Be sure to support Andrew’s cause, by making a donation and helping them reach that final target!
Harris Real Estate’s Greg Moulton returned as our auctioneer for the day, as guests were given the opportunity to win items kindly donated by Davroe Hair Wellness, Boileau Business Solutions, Kirsty Burns Photography, Two Pairs, Telstra, Peter Clemente, Mark Lobert, Peter Shearer Menswear, Halls Cranes, and the Credit Union Christmas Pageant.
Our Silent Auction was also a huge hit, thanks to the many local businesses that donated prizes for our guests to win, including
· Cot Couture · Face Photography |
Throughout the day, guests also heard from our new Brand Ambassador Claire Lindop, Davroe’s Mary Centofanti, and one of our Little Heroes mums Beth Thomas.
Little Heroes Foundation would like to especially thank Beth for her strength and bravery in opening up to our audience, describing how her family responded to the news of little girl Eddie’s illness, and the ripple effect it had on their lives. It was a special, but inspiring reminder of the ultimate goal of the day; to raise funds so that families just like hers have the support they need during tough times.
Little Heroes Foundation would also like to thank the follow businesses for their support of our 2017 Mother’s Day Luncheon. We hope to see you all again next year! Plus don’t forget to check out the photo below, taken by Jennifer Griffin and John Hall!
