Let’s Get Quizzical: Everest Base Camp Quiz Night a success!
240 guests enjoyed plenty of trivia games and fun on Saturday Night at Woodville Town Hall!
Little Heroes Foundation would like to thank the sold out crowd of 240 guests who put their thinking caps on for our Everest Base Camp Fundraising Quiz Night on Saturday June 23 at the Woodville Town Hall! Through your generosity we raised an incredible $12,000 for our Little Heroes!
It was great to see a few familiar faces in the crowd, including Little Heroes Ambassadors Clare Lindop and Tom Lynch, as well as AFLW Crow Abbey Holmes, who will be joining our trekkers at Mount Everest Base Camp this November!
Abbey joins our team of 13 trekkers, who will be hiking for 12 days from Lukla to Base Camp (which sits at approx. 5,345m above sea level) to raise funds for seriously ill children and their families in South Australia.
A big thank you to these special guests for taking the time out of their busy schedules to support our cause on Saturday night.
The team at Quiz Meisters took the reins for the real event of the evening – the trivia, and can we just say, we very much enjoyed some of the clever team names from Saturday night. (Looking at you, the O-Trivia Newton Johns!)
Congratulations as well to our major auction winners, who walked away with some amazing prizes, kindly donated by Oliver Porter, Wayne Walker, Bosch, and Dulux Acra-Tex. Our door giveaway and raffle prizes were also a highlight with guests, kindly donated by Vili’s, Mega Adventure Park, Hotel Chancellor, and Hair On Hart.
Guests were also treated to some delicious pastries all donated by the amazing team at Vili’s!
From all of us here at Little Heroes Foundation, thank you to the team at Woodville Town Hall for having us, and to everyone involved for making the night such a success. Our events team is excited to host another Quiz Night in 2019 and we hope to see you there!
We would also like to make a special mention of our amazing volunteers, who helped set up the entire hall within the hour before our guests arrived, and who also stuck around to help sell raffle tickets, Wine Wall bottles and keep the drinks flowing from the bar! Thank you to volunteers Samantha, Jan, Alan, Tricia, Darren, Donna, Nadia, Enzo, Mia, and Ali, and to the many guests who also helped pack up their tables at the end of the night! Your support makes what we do so much easier!
