Incredible Effort From An Incredible Man
Dr Flett was thrilled to receive a special visit from cancer survivor Jasmine (R) and cousin McKenzie (L) before the exhibition.
Dr. John Flett’s last exhibition for Little Heroes Foundation has raised an amazing $9337.50 to support our Centre for Robotics and Innovation.
The 94 year old artist sold 21 paintings that were on display at the Pepper Street Arts Centre between 17 January and 6 February.
Since 2000, Dr Flett’s exhibitions have raised more than $70,000 for seriously ill children.
We asked Dr Flett what he’s planning to do next and he replied, “A little bit of painting and I have a lot of reading to catch up on!”
More than 100 people joined Dr John Flett for the opening of his art show in support of Little Heroes Foundation.
Special thanks to the Burnside Council and Mayor David Parkin for supporting the exhibition.
The Council waived its commission fee so that all proceeds raised will support Little Heroes Foundation’s $4 million Centre for Robotics and Innovation at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
