In the Media: Determined Jed is a driven young man
Little Hero meets Supercar Champions Winterbottom and Mostert!
At the inaugural OTR SuperSprint at Australia’s newest motorsport park The Bend over the weekend, Little Hero Jed Hunt was invited by OTR to meet supercar drivers Mark Winterbottom and Chaz Mostert. A big fan of motorsport (and just a few weeks away from getting his L-plates) Jed was also taken on a hot lap around the track in a porsche!
This opportunity for Jed was made possible through the generosity of the team at OTR and through our connection with their new giving initative OTRGive. Be sure to download the app today to start giving a portion of every dollar you spend at OTR to seriously ill children and their families in SA.

JUST like the racetrack at The Bend, Jed Hunt’s life has taken some tough turns.
The 15-year-old, has battled significant cancerous tumours since 2011.
A trackside visit with race aces Mark Winterbottom and Chaz Mostert was a dream come true for the young motorsport fan.
He talked to the drivers about the English Premier League, his father’s obsession with his 1960s VW beetle, the trip from Adelaide, and of course the V8s and the new track.
“We talked about me getting my L-plates next month,’’ Jed said.
“I’m saving up for a car but I think I’ll be driving mum and dad’s for a while.
“I’m not that fussy with cars, but one day I would love a Ford Mustang.
“I prefer Ford to Holden so I was in the right garage today.’’
Jed is fighting inflammatory myofibroblastoma, which first appeared as a tumour the size of a softball in his stomach.
It was removed, but complications six months later pushed his young body into cardiac arrest and led to 90 per cent of his lower intestines being removed.
Jed crawled in and out of the Ford Supercars roll cage and spent time behind the wheel. He was the guest of the charity fundraiser OTRGive and the Little Heroes Foundation.
Awesome to meet Jed from the @LittleHeroesFdn this morning ???????? Thanks for the visit legend and hopefully see you at a race again soon! #Mozzie55 #VASC pic.twitter.com/9UP2shRIr4

OTR is the major sponsor the Supercars round at The Bend and OTRGive is the Shahin family’s primary charity fundraising arm.
OTRGive donates 1c for every $2 spent in store and 1c per 2L of fuel purchased to the community group of the customers’ choosing within OTR App.
Yasser Shahin, Peregrine Corporation executive chairman, said he wanted OTRGive to “make a real difference” to charities.
A big thank you to Yasser and the team at OTR for their incredible generosity to Jed, his family and our cause.
