Celebrating the life of Dr. John Flett

Dr John Flett has been a long-time supporter of Little Heroes Foundation

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our dear friend, Dr John Flett, passed away peacefully on Friday February 21 at the age of 99.

Dr John Flett has been a long-time supporter of Little Heroes Foundation, hosting numerous art exhibitions of his stunning paintings, donating the funds raised through his work to our projects and helping those in need.

Dr Flett was a retired General Practitioner, who practised for 42 years in the Northern Yorke Peninsula, based at Kadina. On his retirement at 63 years of age, he took up painting, joining the N.Y.P Art Group. Following his move to Adelaide, he focused on developing his painting techniques using watercolour and oils.

Thanks to Dr Flett’s incredible generosity over the years, we have been able to change the lives of many seriously ill children, beyond his years as a GP.

“We say goodbye to a truly wonderful man. John was generous, intelligent and had such a unique sense of humour. He will be missed by so many, and all of us at Little Heroes Foundation were fortunate to have been part of John’s journey“. Little Heroes Foundation Chairman, Chris McDermott said.

It has been a privilege of our team to have met and worked with Dr John Flett, and we extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to the Flett family. He will be truly missed by everyone at Little Heroes Foundation.

Family and friends of John are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, 29th February 2020 at 10:30am in St George’s Anglican Church, 43 St Bernards Road, Magill.
