Big Heroes at Armpack Golf Day Tee Off for our Cause

Thank you to all sponsors and players for helping raise over $37,500 for our Little Heroes!

On Friday 16th November, our good friends at Armstrong Packaging (Armpack) hosted their 2018 Charity Golf Day at Grange Golf Club.

The day saw over 100 of golfers in attendance, including event sponsors and Little Heroes Foundation representatives.

After a windy day on course, the festivities continued into the night with a delicious dinner thanks to the Grange Golf Club team, and MC’d by our good friend Timmy Ginever.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from the day’s VIP Player and Guest Speaker Rodney Hogg. The cricketing legend (who could forget his dominance of Geoff Boycott, and his Ashes wicket record of 41 at an average of 12.85) shared his unique experiences of representing Australia in Cricket, as well as a few funny anecdotes, including how he first met our Chairman Chris McDermott as a young footballer playing for Glenelg.

Guests were invited to join in some additional fundraising, including a live and silent auctions, and a wine wall. Prizes for the night’s major auction were donated by Mark Lobert, Adriatic Slumber, Vili’s Bakery, Royal Adelaide Golf Club, Bosch, Euro Appliances and Armpack.

Over $37,500 was raised from the golf day and dinner, which would not have been possible without the support of the day’s sponsors including:

This fantastic result means that since Armstrong’s first golf day in 2010, the team have contributed over $300,000 towards our projects and programs!
