Ambassadors and Supporters from the last 20 years!

We are proud to be South Australian and we love connecting with people who feel the same way! Over the past 20 years, we have been lucky enough to have the continued support from many local celebrities, sporting heroes and South Australian icons.

These are people who use their status in the community to help support those doing it tough.

A highlight in recent years would have to be our Golden Girl Anna Meares’ ‘Life First, Appearance Second’ fundraising campaign in 2014. Anna’s campaign, which saw her lose her locks, raised over $200k for Little Heroes Foundation and kickstarted the fundraising for our ‘Centre for Robotics and Innovation’ at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital (WCH). Check out the video of the finale to Anna’s Fundraising Campaign below!

In 2013, Little Heroes Foundation also welcomed Adelaide’s home grown Hollywood star Teresa Palmer as an official ambassador. Teresa, like all of our ambassadors, showed incredible support for our cause, attending our Melbourne Cup Luncheon and visiting some of our little heroes at the WCH.

Alisa and Lysandra, the South Aussie twins who won Channel 9’s The Block Sky High have also been regular supporters, promoting our events, donating auction items, rattling buckets and meeting some of our little heroes!

Our annual West End Slowdown football match has also seen quite a few local sporting heroes, politians and media personalities take to the field to support our little heroes, including tennis champion Lleyton Hewitt, South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill, Basketballer Erin Philips, Waratah FC Forward Abbey Holmes, TV Presenter Tom Williams, Australian music royalty Guy Sebastian, and more recently rising Australian tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis!

Little Heroes Foundation has also had the unique opportunity of having a few Adelaide icons join us as staff members throughout the journey. Port Adelaide legend Timmy Ginever and Australian netball champion Nat Von Bertouch have both worked for the Foundation as our Corporate Relationship Managers!
