Women in Business Luncheon 2023

This year’s Women in Business Luncheon was a beautiful day of strong women coming together to empower, support, and inspire each other to be the best versions of themselves.

Our special guest Australian of the Year, Taryn Brumffit, gave a very powerful message talking about her journey and reminding everyone that greatness is possible when you embrace your life and purpose. Her incredible story resonated with everyone, realising that it is possible to re-learn how to love and celebrate our own bodies, regardless of shape, size, ethnicity, or ability.

The motivational stories from our panel speakers, Sarah Marquis of Mollydooker Wines, Alisa & Lysandra of a.live Body, and Nova Jane of Fitcover, inspired every women in the room that they can achieve everything they put their minds into by remaining strong and brave in overcoming challenges that may come their way.

The event was made even more special with the presence of the undeniably brave Renee who gave a very moving speech about her heartbreaking story of finding out that all three of her beautiful children have Childhood Dementia – an illness that currently has no cure or treatment due to the little support provided and insufficient government funding.

We were also joined by the wonderful Kate Collins and Leith Forrest as our hosts who made the day extra lovely. Our sponsors Davroe, Mollydooker Wines, Beerenbergfarm, al.ive Body, Fitcover Australia, National Wine Center, and all the generous businesses who donated to the foundation made the event a huge success.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, attended, and extended help in their own special ways. If you would like to learn more about how you can help in our mission to raise awareness of this horrible disease we would love to hear from you. Without support from wonderful people such as yourself, our work to help children suffering from a physical or mental illness would not be possible.

We are already excited for the next one, and we hope to see you there again.
