St Peter’s year 10 girls learn the art of giving

School fundraising is such an important part of what we do here at Little Heroes Foundation because it’s an important way that we can all encourage future generations to understand the importance of giving.

We’ve been lucky enough to be the nominated charity of the Patteson House at St Peter’s girls school, and earlier this month, a group of their Year 10’s attended a very special art class with one of our corporate heroes – Splashout Art Studios!

Under the guidance of Splashout’s co-owners and experience artists Krystyna and Jenny, along with our ambassador Anna Meares (who has been involved with Splashout for a number of years), the students worked together to produce a series of six paintings. These creations will be used as either auction items at one of our future events, or to be displayed in our office to add some colour and cheer!

To produce the six paintings, the girls worked together in pairs, rotating every half an hour to bring each piece to life, while also incorporating each other’s ideas and styles.

A big thank you to Anna as well, who not only helped the girls with their work throughout the day, but she also shared with them some insights into her incredible sporting career and the many life lessons she has learned along the way.

At the end of the day, the Year 10’s student also presented Anna with a special cheque, totalling over $3,000, the sum of all of their individual fundraising efforts over the past few years –amazing!

Congratulations on your incredible creations girls, and thank you so much from all of us here at Little Heroes Foundation, for your amazing fundraising efforts.
