New Little Heroes Foundation ambassadors Bruce Djite and Jimmy Jeggo recently met little hero Jake Block who has fought and beaten Leukaemia.

Jake was diagnosed when he was just three and battled the disease for more than two years.

It’s a battle that Jimmy Jeggo knows all too well.

At age 16, the Reds’ midfielder was also diagnosed with Leukaemia and like Jake, won his fight.

“It means a lot to me. It’s something that is very close to home,” Jimmy said.

“I’ve been through what a lot of these kids have been through and know what it’s like.

“Now to be in a position where I can help them and maybe even give them someone to look up to means a lot to me.

“It’s tough when you’re going through it but you learn to enjoy the little things like spending time with your family and having fun.”
