New York Marathon Fundraising Update

With only a few weeks to go before our New York Marathon runners depart Adelaide for The Big Apple, many have been frantically fundraising to help reach our $200,000 target!

Just last week, our good friend and Channel 9 sports reporter Tom Rehn hosted his Twilight at the Zoo fundraiser (picture above) with proceeds from the night being split between Little Heroes Foundation and ZoosSA! Thanks to the support of the general public, Tom’s total fundraising tally jumped to over $5000 for our Little Heroes!

Leading our fundraising over all are the Woodville West Torrens boys, who have been busy ramping up their training with the SANFL season now over. So far, Luke and the boys have raised over $30,000, which is an amazing achievement!

Luke Jarrad, long time support of Little Heroes Foundation retired at the end of the 2016 season. Earlier this month our CEO Sean Connors presented Luke with a special gift of framed wire dragonflies, made by children staying at the Michael Rice Centre.

Behind the scenes at Today Tonight: Rosanna’s strapped ankle earlier this month!

Our long time supporter, Channel 7/Today Tonight’s Rosanna Mangiarelli is right behind them, with over $17,000 raised! Despite a minor set back with an ankle injury, Rosanna looks set to give the boys a run for their money this November! If you want to show your support, Rosanna will be hosting a fundraising BBQ at Bunnings Mile End on Saturday October 29. We hope to see as many of you there as possible to help Rosanna reach her $20,000 target!

Plus, our ‘Give It The Boot’ crew are continuing to collect donations through their glass collection boots, which have made a significant contribution to our tally! Remember to keep your eyes out for the boots at your local shops and cafes around town. Remember, your change can make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children!
