Little Heroes Foundation’s Centre For Robotics And Innovation
We are building Australia’s first ‘Centre for Robotics and Innovation’ with its doors set to open in April, 2016
It’s a $4 million project at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and includes:
- A world class robotic gymnasium with the latest rehabilitation equipment designed for children and adolescents being treated for a serious illness
- A five year clinical research study to uncover new ways to help these kids re-learn everyday tasks like walking
Little Heroes Foundation Chairman, Chris McDermott, said it’s the biggest project the charity had undertaken.
“Over the years we have assisted in the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing support of seriously ill children, and this is the next step,” said Chris.
“We want to get these kids back on their feet with a world class rehabilitation facility.
“$4 million is a big challenge but we are determined to get there.”
