Little Heroes Foundation Appoints New CEO!

Little Heroes Foundation is excited to announce the appointment of Sean Connors as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Sean has been a passionate supporter of the foundation for a number of years and simply could not miss the opportunity to join Little Heroes Foundation!

“It was just such a fantastic opportunity! They’re a wonderful organisation. They do some much to help seriously ill children. We’ve got a busy events calendar ahead in 2016, so I’m excited to get started!’

Founding Chairman Chris McDermott is equally excited to be welcoming Sean Connors to the Foundation.

“Sean is a fantastic bloke so this is great news! He is a great fit for the foundation! We’re really thrilled to have him on board.”

As Sean started today, we thought it might be a good idea to find out a little bit more about the man behind the suit with a quick Q&A!

You know a lot about the foundation, having followed us for over 5 years, so tell us a bit about yourself! What did you do before becoming the new CEO of Little Heroes Foundation?

I was the CEO of Harcourts Sheppard Property for the last 2 years, 4 years as State Real Estate Manager for Elders Real Estate. Prior to this, I have been a Trainee Golf Professional.

Having worked in real estate for over 25 years, what made you decide to move into this position?

When I spoke with Chris about joining the Little Heroes Foundation and he offered me the position, it was an absolute no brainer for me. I’d volunteered for years and wanted to be part of this amazing organisation that does so much good.

What sort of skills or knowledge will you bring to Foundation?

I’d like to think my relationship skills will help to grow the foundation by increasing the awareness in the general public. I’d also like to make this a fun place for staff and volunteers to a part of day to day.

You’re obviously passionate about the organisation, so what plans do you have for Little Heroes Foundation for 2016 and beyond?

I want to see us grow to allow us to be able to implement more projects and expand our reach to help more children and families.

Tell us a bit about yourself outside of work! Any particular hobbies or interests?

I am married to Nicole and have 4 children.

I love being involved in my children’s education and sports. I am the Chairman of the School governing Council and coach of my son’s cricket team.

I am also on the board of Directors of the Woodville West Torrens Football Club.

I love watching most sports, in case you can’t already tell!

We are so excited for the year to come, so welcome aboard Sean!
