2017 is nearly over, and while we still try to wrap our heads around where the past six months has gone, the team at Little Heroes Foundation thought it would be fun to look back on some of the highlights from the last year.
Our Little Heroes had a special visit from their favourite super heroes from Fairy Bay including Spiderman, and his Fairy friends! However no one can quite compare to the big man himself – Father Christmas!
Please note that the Little Heroes Foundation office will be closed from 12pm Thursday 20th December. We will be back to business as usual from Monday 14th January.
Little Heroes Foundation is excited to be partnering with the Greyhound Adoption Program SA, an organisation that aims to help re-home retired greyhounds within the local community.
On Friday 16th November, our good friends at Armstrong Packaging (Armpack) hosted their 2018 Charity Golf Day at Grange Golf Club.
Over the weekend, the majority of our Mount Everest Base Camp trekkers returned home, with plenty of photos, stories and special friendships formed over their 2 week adventure. The Everest Base Camp is one of the most popular trekking routes in the Himalayas and is visited by thousands of trekkers every year. Base Camp is an important part of all treks across the Nepalese side of Mount Everest, as it is the resting place for all climbers, whether they need to acclimatise for journeys beyond the camp, or as the end goal for most trekkers.
Our biggest ever crowd joined Little Heroes Foundation at the National Wine Centre on Tuesday for a fun-filled day, celebrating the race that stops the nation! A big thank you to all 370 guests for your support!
Last Friday night, 26th October at the National Wine Centre, Potatoes South Australia held their annual industry dinner, where they also host a unique auction of new season baby potatoes. The auction was led by Mr Tony Wetherall, SA Stud Stock Manager Elders Ltd, with all proceeds benefiting Little Heroes Foundation, to help us continue to support children living with cancer.
