Flotilla for Kids – What to Expect!

Flotilla for Kids will be taking over Port Adelaide this Sunday, with a number of local businesses jumping on board to support our cause!

Sunday’s weekly Wild at Hart Markets will be moving especially for Flotilla, and will be located next to Port Adelaide’s iconic lighthouse. Be sure to check out the stalls from 9am until 2pm! There’ll be plenty of fresh, local produce, buskers, face painters and much more to experience!

Among the entertainment, we have Clown Alley, Tonic Truck Carousel and an Inflatable, Interactive Shark for the kids to enjoy!

And of course, our Flotilla will be arriving between 11:30am and 12:00pm to ‘salute the crowd’! Keep your eyes out for the boats marked with yellow ribbons, as those boats will be carrying some very special cargo; our little heroes!

All money raised from the event, through generous donations from businesses and spectators, will go towards our latest project, the ‘Centre for Robotics and Innovation’ at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital. This project will also kick start a 5-year Clinical Research Program, aimed at uncovering new ways to assist with childhood rehabilitation and help get seriously ill children back on their feet!

We are expecting Flotilla for Kids to be a wonderful start to our 2016 event calendar, with the weather forecast in the early 30’s and just enough wind to see all the bright and colourful flags flying!

Make sure you head down to Port Adelaide this Sunday, Feb 7, and enjoy the return of Flotilla for Kids!

Little Heroes Foundation would also like to thank the following businesses for promoting or donating their goods and services to support Flotilla for Kids!
