Australian Champions League returns this weekend!

In 2018, the Australian Champions League will enter its third year! Following the crowning of champion teams the Reynella Wineflies (2016) and the Waikerie Magpies (2017, pictured above), this year’s event sees netball joining the ranks for the very first time!

The Australian Champions League brings teams from various leagues across town and country together to crown the best of the best in our state!

From 10:00am to 5:00pm this Saturday 24th March, at the Park 2 Precinct in North Adelaide (next to the Adelaide Aquatic Centre), premiership winning football and netball teams from the 2017 season will battle it out on court/field for bragging rights.

Speaking to The Advertiser’s Ben Hook, our Founding Chairman Chris McDermott said he looked forward to seeing netball join the ACL for the first time in 2018.

‘It’s been a plan since day one to have footy and netball side by side …  and for Nat von Bertouch to facilitate that for us has been incredible.”

“It’s gone to dual sports at a venue we felt we could really work with.”
