Thank you to Cooper & Matthew for their fundraising efforts at their Car Meet last weekend. They managed to raise over $1500 through the support of other car enthusiasts at their event.
To Little Heroes Foundation supporters
Firstly, I trust you and your families are all safe and well and getting through these tough times the best way you can. Stay strong and we will get through this, LHF is trying to do the same.
We are continuing to work our way through our own crisis and while we still have much work to do, there is a glimmer of hope that I couldn’t see a month or two ago.
I believe organisations like ours (and there are many) are needed more than ever before, and seriously ill children and their families throughout Australia still need our help.
In the meantime, our relationship with Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation continues to evolve and we will be in a position to reveal our next project in the not to distant future.
Keep your eyes on our website or on Facebook for the latest updates.
Thank you for your support and encouragement.
It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our dear friend, Dr John Flett, passed away peacefully on Friday February 21 at the age of 99.
To our sponsors, supporters, families, friends and all other South Australians.
In recent days you may have heard me speak on radio, TV and in the paper on the current state of Little Heroes Foundation and I just wanted to inform you all personally to let you know what reality is for us.
You're never too young to talk about mental health.
It's estimated up to 20 per cent of young children and adolescents experience a mental health condition. Half of all mental illnesses begin by the age of 14.
Additionally, with one in five adults diagnosed with a mental health condition, it's children who are often most impacted and required to take on a greater carer role.
